Tamie lives in Bemidji, MN. She is married with 4 children & 10 grandchildren. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood & Business Management.
She has over 30 years of serving children and families within tribal communities. Her work experience includes being the Director of Tribal Child Care, a Systems Manager and Director of Indian Child Welfare, and was a Director of Statewide Tribal Early Childhood Resource Program. She also was the Executive Director of Tribal Boys & Girls Club programs and has Board Experience as a member of the National Indian Child Care Association. She has consulting experience as a Grant Reviewer for the Office of Head Start, Office of Child Care, SAMHSA and Administration for Native Americans.
